Over these past four years as a Guelph-Humber Early Childhood Studies Student, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to gain an in depth understanding about the theorectical side of this field, as well completing a lot of hands-on experiences. All of my placements that I have completed thus far, have shaped me into the future educator I admire to be. Whether it was in an setting with infants, preshoolers or FDK; all of the children/ on site field supervisors have touched my heart in a way I will never forget; AND I hope to have had the same impact for these individuals.

I have really grown in the sense that I know the type of Educator I admire to be and what my beliefs are about children.

 

I believe that all children have a purpose in this world. They have the right to become whatever it is they what to become. As an educator, it will be my role to accomodate all needs of each child I have the opportunity to work alongside with. I believe in accomodating different styles of learning into my cirriculum; as every child is their own unique person and should never be compared or treated the same.
